work has been fairly interesting. intensive training last week from the 4th to the 7th, then i started work immediately on the 9th. well first day at work is usually full of hiccups and whatnots, but i guess it went alright. sales wasn't that bad either i suppose. i guess it helps to have some sort of interest/passion in the area of work one does. for those who still don't know where i'm working at, its a cosmetic/skincare brand, not the mass market ones, you can only find the counters at the cosmetic departments of Isetan, Metro, Tangs, Robinsons and Takashimaya. and my uniform is a white top and white pants. :)

i've been working everyday since the 9th. i finally got to take a break today. was supposed to work but i got someone else to cover my shift. damn tired la. after sleeping at like 3/4am, can you imagine having to wake up early for work everyday sobsob.

i finally got down to uploading the photos from The Cathay event. click click on the thumbnail to see the invite!!! it was an event to celebrate the reopening of The Cathay, for those who have no idea where that is, its after Plaza Sing, the old cathay building that everyone went to watch movies at, i think it was still open when i was in primary school. it was closed for a very long time for renovation and now its finally open. the new cathay cineplexes are there on the 5th and 6th levels. the event was held on 25th march from 4-8pm, just a little come and chill, mingle, check out the new place kinda thing. Annabelle Francis was there and i got a photo taken with her. :)

I was allowed to bring a guest, so i asked Jade to be my guest! they gave me this booklet of vouchers, and we got free food, like hotdogs, nachos, popcorn, Ya Kun kaya toast, starbucks coffee, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and guess what, BEER! yes beer in the afternoon! isn't that funky. ehhh in the end i think it didn't really matter whether you were on the guestlist or not, because everyone was just walking around. you just needed to be on the guestlist to get the vouchers for the free food or go in the VIP seating area. he was there as well, his friend was selling records.

after that me and jade went to watch Failure To Launch. sigh Sarah Jessica Parker still looks as wonderful as ever. there were many scenes in the movie that reminded me of her role as Carrie in Sex and The City, especially the last few scenes where they were locked in the room together. and Matthew McConaughey, like omg hotness. he has such a hot accent and he's so polite with his ma'ams and sirs. we went to find ctbah at work as well, and later at night we went to The Balcony for some drinks. the usual bitching, chatting, gossiping and whatnots.

ahem. the photo which jade thinks is damn funny, well. i wanted her to take the sticker but she somehow got my whole face with that fucked up expression. hur.

i think The Cathay has been organising a few other events which are open to public as well, the most recent being the flea market held yesterday. hurrr i didn't go though.

school's starting in a week. timetable's only out on the 20th. how slow. LAW Welcome on the 22nd.
