i haven't been blogging. its only been 4 days but mat biatchh is already complaining that my blog is getting stale. fineeee.
i've been doing alot of thinking and i think i need to get my life in order.
we had our normal lunch dates with mr j at norgen vaaz on friday. me, mat, alifa and exo. it was really cool, just chilling, not really taking into consideration the "teacher" title, more like a "mentor" thing. i really respect mr j. he's done so many things in his life, and he's only 30+. he's got his law degree, got married, worked at a private law firm, went into legal service, was a deputy public prosecutor, got divorced, went into teaching, does theatre and tv work and inspires students like us everyday. most importantly, he gave up an extremely high paying job, just to teach. its amazing isn't it. i mean, he's not telling us to not be lawyers and everything, but its just amazing how he was willing to take the chance, to grab an opportunity, and not regret it. he was asking us about what we liked about the course and everything. then somehow, i forgot, we talked about jobs or something. then he said he could see me as the corporate lawyer type. he said i had that image. ah. ok. haha. corporate lawyers basically don't go to court, their battlefield is the negotiation table. they claw the other company's lawyer out. conveyancing and blahblah. apparently his ex-wife was really good at that, she could vet through 100pg contracts. not once, but three times. well. i kinda had that view too, i don't think i really would want to go to court. i don't think criminal law's my thing. well yea. we all got to ask him questions and stuff. i asked him when you have so many things you want to do, how do you know which is the right one? and he said, if you could, in your 20's, do all. do everything. then in your 30's, pick your career. then in your 40's, establish it, and in your 50's, reap the rewards. i guess he's right. he's like fine example. yea. i'm glad he's our careperson. i hope we still have him next sem.
after that, went to town with cake and alifa. we had a nice chatting session at kfc. it was really fun to see a different side of alifa. haha. she was really curious abt why some people become lesbian and everything, and well i explained and stuff, and i guess she kinda understood why people make those choices, and i think she was fairly convinced that girls are, well, much better than guys. aha. anywayyyy. went shopping around far east after that. i bought two black tops, which was utterly sinful and wrong. and i was so tempted to buy all the cute shoes, and the cutest jackie 'o' sunglasses, but thank goodness i didn't. :) after that, i popped by funan to find siti, my ex-manager at delifrance. then i went back to town to find him. we caught white chicks at lido. its really really good. like damn funny. its sooo much better than dodgeball. seriously. everyone who thinks dodgeball is good, shld go watch white chicks. like hello, dodgeball cant even compare la. it sucks. its damn short, and the storyline is damn crappy, and the only thing that saved it was Ben Stiller. oh well. after that went to his place.
saturday. he had training, after that went down to town to window shop. cine arcade, ken, jem, ben, paul, ddr, para, time crisis, then s.o.s, crazy taxi driver, complaints, remy silver, mark, erik, zhen, danny, then in the end, back to potblack. crazy antics, stupid questions, hanky panky. ahah. his place, and stupid smses from ken and zhen who were getting it on together at ken's place i think.
sunday. slept in. and then off to have lunch with his family at Union Farm Eating House. its like this forgotten place, but it has like so many awards. it used to be really popular in the past. it's famous for its paper wrapped chicken, otherwise known as "chee pow kai" if i remember correctly. its not bad. yea. after that down to his shop, chatting, town, bought the cute little hush puppies shoes for work. and swensens ice cream mooncake for his parents. my place to dump my shoes, then his place.
monday. he went to school, i kinda slept in, then went down to town to collect my uniform. i was thinking of going to school to print stuff but didn't in the end. met up with talitha n geor at ps. its been ages since i've seen you two, though we're all in the same school. :) after that, he came down to heeren, had ramen at cine, and then ice cream at far east, chilling, there were no movies to watch, the hunt for my orange flavoured ciggs at far east, then fries, whipped potato, long john, then finally off home (!!!), to get my shoes then back to his place.
that's four days in a row. :)
first day of work today. mixed feelings. don't really love the place. i think i much prefer being behind the counter doing bar and stuff then waitressing. seriously. and i'm not sure if my hands can take the weight of the tray and stuff. still waiting for the day i drop something all over the place. sigh. hopefully i'll last a week here. better than that one day at cartel right? :)
i have alot of things to sort out. i seriously shouldn't be working, its the week before exams. its not holidays, its supposed to be study week. sigh. i should be in school, like my classmates, studying my butt off. sigh. i'll so regret this if i end up getting d's for everything.
window shopping is bad. its made me have wishlists again. the nice M.A.C. longwear lipcolour, the juicy wear duo from Lancome, omg did u see the poster, you could just lick her lips. like yummy. SKII washing cream. i've decided i don't quite like the KOSE one anymore. and shu uemura cleansing oil. i love the collector's bottle. like pretty. oh well. and all the cute shoes from fareast lvl one. ar. yes.
i'm supposed to be studying, i actually thought of staying up the whole night to study. but what's the point. i have to work tmw from 12-5 and i'm dreading it already. like somebody help me please. sigh. but i don't have a choice i have to work because of so many other problems. sigh.
someone save me please.
thanks biatches for all the concern... and asking where i am and why aren't i in school studying with you guys. i will somehow try to study darlings. i suppose exams ARE important, but i guess money's MORE important cause NO ONE'S stopped me from working this week so far.
I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
read finished When In Rome by Gemma Townley. it really does make you want to be whisked off to Rome like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. oh well. a girl can dream.
i think i shall go off and stress myself now.
